The Puzzle: A man is stranded on an island covered in forest.

There are cliffs around the island, so he cannot jump off.

Well, the solution is that the man picks up a piece of wood and lights it from the fire on the west end of the island.
He then quickly carries it near the east end of he island and starts a new fire. The wind will cause that fire to burn out the eastern end and he can then shelter in the burnt area.

Well, now, we have made a lot of assumptions here! This solution is valid assuming that the fire created by the man isn't still on by the time the west end fire reaches this place, and also assuming that the man can run faster than the spread of fire! But overall, it's a good puzzle. When I get time, maybe I will refine it to make a super cool puzzle out of it!
